Ecosystem

Due to its physical characteristics, the Reserve has several types of climate, such as warm-subhumid, warm-humid, semi-warm humid and temperate-humid. El Triunfo is considered one of the wettest areas of the country, since is one of the places with more rainfall. Only on the Pacific slope annual rainfall is greater than 2500 mm.
Climates that occur in the Reserve are:

Aw2(w): warm subhumid with summer rains; average annual temperatures ranging between 22 and 26 ° C and annual rainfall varies from 1,000 to 2,500 mm. This climate is found between 1,000 and 1,500 meters on the northwest side of the Reserve, on the slope of the Central Depression.

Am(w): warm-humid with abundant rainfall in summer; mean annual temperatures ranging from 22 to 30 °C; total annual precipitation of 2,500 to 4,000 mm. This climate is present in the lower parts of the Reserve.

A(C)m(w): semi-warm humid with abundant rainfall in summer; annual average temperatures ranging between 18 and 22°C and annual precipitation of 2,000 to 3,500 mm. Characteristic climate of the middle parts of the Reserve.

C(m)(w): temperate humid with abundant summer rains; mean annual temperatures ranging from 14 to 18°C and average annual rainfall of 2.500 to 4.500 mm. This climate is present on the upper parts of the Sierra, on both slopes (Arreola et al., 2004).
